Program used: Flash Lite 2.0

Description:

These screenshots are from the second assignment from my Alternative Interface Design Course in the first semester of the Rich Media Post Graduate Program. This course introduced me to Flash Lite 2.0 and this assignment was my second time developing a mobile application. We had to make an information guide for a fictitious restaurant/ club that included a reservation function, photo gallery, slideshow and "Coming Event" section.
When the user selects the "Make Reservation" button, the Flash Lite player tells the phone to make a call to the jazz club. For the "Coming Event" section, the content is loaded in from a server so that the most current information is always shown. The photo gallery and slideshow sections are the same as they would be in Flash 8, except that they use the input from the phone's buttons instead of a mouse. Using the phone's buttons for input wasn't a large adjustment to make because they work similar to computer keys in Flash 8. However, it was a different experience developing an application without the input of a mouse. This project gave me great experience developing a mobile application as well as the limitations that the mobile environment presents.
