This piece is a tutorial assignment that I worked on in my Video Editing class in first year. This fictional documentary preview was the result of a tutorial book called "Final Cut Pro 4 Complete Course" that took you through all the steps to complete it. This clip uses a number of the different editing techniques and effects that you might need to use when editing film. It uses masking effects, text effects, audio dubbing, transitions, and more. The book also came with a CD that had all the bits of video that you needed. The entire class basically worked through the book together but I decided to work ahead on my own and completed the whole thing myself. It taught me a lot about the different features in Final Cut Pro and how to use them as well as the type of effects that can be used in video to create a desired feel.
