Program used: Adobe Illustrator CS2

Description:

This piece is also an assignment from my Adobe Illustrator class from second year. For this one we had to create a poster that featured our personal logo and represented ourselves as a designer. For my logo, I decided to make the letters 3D to make them stand out. For the main part of the poster, I chose to use a picture of myself and then add a bunch of effects to it. I started out by using the Live Trace feature to create a black and white outline of the picture. I then tried to colour in the poster but there were too many spaces between the line to allow me to color it in properly. It also didn't fit in with the logo. Instead, I decided to put a "charcoal" effect on it to create the interesting stylized lines running across the page. These two things together combined to create a really cool, almost comic book style image. I was very pleased with the end result.
