Program used: Dreamweaver

Description:

This was one of my earlier assignments from my Building Dynamic Web Pages class in second year. For this one we had to take the Google Maps API and show that we knew how to use it. The first thing I did was register for the Google Maps API key. Once I did that I got the basic JavaScript code that would allow me to incorporate it into the web page. I then got the JavaScript for the pan/zoom and Map/Satellite controls as well as the JavaScript to open an info box. Finally, I changed the latitude and longitude to focus on my house and added some HTML formatted text to the info box. This assignment gave me some good exposure to how powerful the Google Maps API is as well as how easy it is to customize it for your own needs.
